Shlomi and Ayelet Molcho were at their home in Moshav on October 7. The boys Ben (27) and Ido (24) did not stay at home that Sabbath, and were saved. Roy (19), the youngest son, survived the Nova massacre.

Alarms sound throughout the Moshav. Shlomi realizes that something unusual is happening and goes outside with his gun. Ayelet enters safe room.
Terrorists infiltrate the Moshav with paragliders. Shlomi runs with the gun towards one of the parachuter to kill him. The terrorist shoots him dead from the air, before he even lands.
In the hour and a half, and when she realizes that Shlomi has probably been hit, Ayelet hides in the safe room with her two dogs, armed with a gun. While she is writing messages with her friend, terrorists break into the safe room and murder her, too.
The Moshav security squad and IDF fighters arrive at the house, with both terrorists still inside. A gunfight is carried out at the house.
The two terrorists barricade themselves in the family home and throw a grenade out at the troops. Adi Baharav, security squad member, is killed by grenade shrapnel.
The terrorists flee from the back of the family home without the forces noticing them. On their way out, they to kill Amit Wachs, a member of the security squad, and wound Shimon Amar, another member of the security squad. The terrorists manage to escape back into the Gaza Strip.
About two weeks after the massacre, the funeral of Shlomi and Ayelet Molcho is held at the cemetery in Palmachim.
