Avi Megira, 48, married and father of four, from Sderot, went for a morning ride on his motorcycle. Following the alarms he decided to return home and was then murdered by terrorists. His aunt recognized his motorcycle on the news, and went to look for him. When she found his body she asked her son to stay by him so he would not be kidnapped

Avi wakes up to go on a ride to the Dead Sea with his group of bikers. He get ready, wakes his wife Michal, kisses her on the forehead and leaves the house to the rendezvous point with the other riders at the “Tapuz” gas station in the industrial area of the city

Avi meets Tzofit, one of the riders, at the gas station. Due to the ongoing alarms they enter the station's safe room. Meanwhile, at Avi's house, his eldest daughter wakes up the rest of the family and they all go into the safe room

Avi calls his wife and checks to see if the members of the household woke up and went into the safe room. He informs that he is in the safe room in the industrial area and his wife asks him to be careful. Avi and Tzofit correspond with the other members of the group who did not arrive at the meeting point and update that they are having difficulty returning home due to the alarms

One of the members of the cycling group updates that he has heard about the infiltration of terrorists and asks Avi and the other rider to return home. Avi replies that they are waiting for the alarms to stop in order to get out. Avi and Michal's son, a soldier serving in the IDF, calls to warn his mother about the infiltration of terrorists. She asks him to quickly call his father, goes down to the kitchen to get a knife and locks herself inside the safe room along with her children
Avi and Tzofit decide to quickly head back to their homes. His son calls him, and he tells him he'll get back to him in a moment
Avi and Tzofit drive towards their homes. On the way, residents on one of the balconies signal them to stop, but Avi doesn't notice them. Tzofit stops and tries to figure out what's going on. Avi drives towards the terrorists and they shoot him. Tzofit screams to Avi and calls the police and Magen David Adom, but fails to get an answer. She goes into a nearby house. Avi's and a Tzofit's family members try to call nonstop, but there's no answer
Avi's son receives a photo on WhatsApp from his acquaintance showing a motorcycle and a man laying next to it, he's asked if it's his father. Later in the day Avi's family members are watching the news and come across this picture, they keep calling Avi and fear for his fate

Avi's aunt, Rachel, sees his motorcycle on the news and decides to go out to the scene. Rachel sees Avi's body. She kisses him, closes his eyes and lowers his helmet over him. She then calls her son and asks him to guard the body so it doesn't get kidnapped. Her son smears blood on himself to make him look like another fatality, and lies next to Avi until the evening hours, when rescue vehicles arrive and evacuate his body

Avi's company offered to evacuate the members of the Megira family to a hotel in Netanya. His three children return to Sderot after about six months. Michal and son Uri stay in Netanya

Avi's family tries to lay him to rest, but due to the number of people killed, they are forced to wait for DNA tests and identification of his body. After 12 days, Avi's funeral takes place in Sderot. He left behind his wife, Michal, and four children - Shalev, Shaked, Eli and Uri
