Zohar family - Yaniv and Yasmin, and daughters Keshet (20) and Tchelet (18), were at the safe room. About six hours after the start of the attack, the terrorists broke into their home and murdered all of them. Their son, Ariel (13) was saved earlier by the Kibbutz Ravshatz, Ilan Fiorentino. His grandfather, Chaim Livne (87), was also murdered.

The Zohar family enters the safe room. Yaniv's manager in “Israel Hayom” newspaper writes him that he should prepare to take pictures after the barrage of missiles ends
Yasmin calls Ravshatz Ilan Fiorentino and informs him that her son Ariel has gone jogging in the Kibbutz. Ilan leaves his family, rescues him from the line of fire and drives him to his house, where he asks his wife Sharon to guard him along with the girls in the safe room. He saves his life and returns to fight the terrorists
About half an hour after the start of the barrage at the Gaza Envelope, and after battles with the IDF forces in the Nahal Oz post, several squads of terrorists infiltrate the Kibbutz and begin to break into the houses
In an attempt to recruit help, Yaniv constantly corresponds with his friend Itay Levi, who was a fighter in the Commando unit Duvdevan. He also sends a message to the head of the Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council, Ophir Liebstein: “Ophir, talk to me, what's going on, I'll send an update and warn the reporters”. He didn't know Ophir had already been murdered. He also tries to call his friend, Ynet photographer Roy Idan. Roy still sends him the video in which he documented the infiltration of Hamas parachuters into Kfar Aza and then stops replying. Yaniv did not know that he, too, had already been murdered that morning
Terrorists infiltrate the family home. Daughter Keshet updates her aunt, Ayelet Cohen-Zohar, that her father asked that phones be shut off. At the same time, Yasmin sends a calming message to her mother in which she does not tell about the infiltration of the terrorists, telling her that everything is fine. Yaniv also does not share that the terrorists infiltrated their home, writing to his colleague Ami Shuman: “In the safe room, there is an exchange of fire”
Yasmin sends a message to the Ravshatz Ilan Fiorentino, who was killed in battle with the terrorists a short time earlier. When he doesn't answer, she writes to his deputy, Nissan de Kallo: “We have terrorists inside the house”
Yasmin updates the deputy Ravshatz, De Kallo: “The terrorists left, it is more quiet”
The terrorists return to the family home. Yasmin keeps constantly updating the deputy Ravshatz and writes to him: “The terrorists are back”
Yaniv sends a worried message to his friend Itay Levy asking him to send troops to them urgently because the terrorists are back at home. It was the last signal of life from him
After a struggle with Yaniv over the safe room door handle, the terrorists manage to break through the door and shoot dead Yaniv, Yasmin and the girls Keshet and Tchelet
From the home of the Fiorentino family, son Ariel calls his cousin Nevo and tells him that everything is fine with him, but he is worried that he has not been able to contact his parents in the last hours
Ariel is evacuated with Sharon Fiorentino and her daughters on the second bus that leaves the Kibbutz to the first stop of Sha'ar HaNegev. At this time, his parents and two sisters are defined missing
The family is informed that Yaniv, Yasmin and their two daughters were murdered
Ariel's aunt, Ayelet Cohen-Zohar, and her husband Tomer decide to adopt Ariel immediately upon the realization that he remains an orphan. When the exhausted Ariel wakes up, after having gone through the hardships of the day before at the Kibbutz, Ayelet tells him that the most terrible thing happened: Mom and Dad were murdered, and with them, his sisters Keshet and Tchelet. The family members - Yaniv, Yasmin, Keshet and Tchelet Zohar - are laid to rest at the cemetery in Rishon LeZion and buried side by side
