Terrorists broke into the home of 75-year-old Perach Pilo and barricaded themselves in it for long hours. It was only in the early morning that security forces arrived and fought a battle against them, at the end of which the house was destroyed and the terrorists killed. Perach survived in the safe room, staying in it for more than 48 hours.

When the Red Color alarm sounded in the Kibbutz, 75-year-old Perach Pilo went into the safe room. She takes a thick blanket with her and locks the room from the inside.

In the morning, Perach finds a notebook in the safe room. She writes in it: “I declared to the universe and returned to declare that with my family history I would live to a very old age - to a hundred and no less. Help.” At the same time, some members of the kibbutz update in the local app about the infiltration of terrorists. Some say their homes are set on fire and are burning.

About four hours after the start of the sirens, Perach writes on her Facebook account: “Over four hours locked in the safe room. Scared to Death. Praying”. About 20 minutes later, she uploads another post, in which she photographs herself with a small psalm book: “Apparently, we really have no one to rely on; I recruited Rabbi Lubavitch and am praying.” In the same hours, Oren Philosof, the son of a Perach who lives in moshav Klachim travels to Beeri to try to rescue his mother.
Terrorists infiltrate the house and for about two hours try to break into the safe room without success. Perach, who had installed a lock in the safe room a few years ago, locked the room from the inside. While she is in it, she updates her son Oren that terrorists have arrived at her house. Also, she repeats for herself the mantra: “I am protected, I am protected”.
Perach writes on her Facebook page: “Drilling on my safe room door.” About two hours after entering, the terrorists attempt to break through the door once more, but are unsuccessful. Perach's son arrives at the kibbutz, and asks his mother to send him her location. Perach continues to repeat the “I am protected” mantra.

Oren informs his mother that he and security forces are on their way to her home, but they do not arrive. During the correspondence, Perach updates her son about explosions she hears.
Perach updates Oren that terrorists knock at the door. Oren asks her not to answer.
The battery of Perach's phone runs out and communication with her is cut off. During the night, she again writes in the notebook she found in the safe room: “I am writing in the dark, probably close to midnight, constant shooting, not coming to rescue me - please!! “

While more than ten terrorists are hiding in the house, heavy IDF weapons begin to destroy the house from the outside. The terrorists return fire at the troops and the house becomes the focus of fighting for hours on end. During the battle, the door of the safe room opens slightly, and Perach has difficulty breathing due to the dust that penetrates inside.
The battle at home is over. The security forces kill the terrorists and destroy the house, except for the safe room. At the end of the shooting noises, Perach loses consciousness for a while.
About 48 hours after the sirens go off, Perach opens the window of the safe room, sees the devastation outside, and decides to get out. She throws out the window the blanket she brought to the safe room on Saturday morning, and jumps out bare feet. She lays the blanket over the fragments of rubble outside her home, goes to her neighbor Rachel Mellman's house and drinks grape juice she finds on the table at home. Immediately afterwards, she walks towards the kibbutz gate. On the way she gets on a scooter and drives to the gate.
Perach arrives at the entrance gate to the kibbutz, sees soldiers and asks them for help. One of the fighters asks her for her home number. The soldiers give Perach initial assistance and update her daughter, Iris Altboim, that she has come into the hands of the rescue forces. One of the fighters also calls the son of Perach, Oren, and updates him on her condition.
Perach arrives at her daughter's Iris Altboim in Petah Tikva.
More than two weeks after she was rescued from her home, Perach joins the members of her kibbutz at a hotel at the Dead Sea.
